2024 May Retreat - 6.Recognizing the signs of Death (in the book of Numbers)

    57:28

We had a wonderful retreat in Paris, Ontario with most of the saints as well as number of brothers and sisters visiting from Vancouver, Southern California, Germany, Houston, and Boston.

We were reminded to always keep God’s goal for us to reign together with Christ as kings and priests in view.  This means our daily walk with Christ and being conformed to Christ’s image is not just so we can be “nice people” but is intended to prepare us for our destiny in His coming kingdom!

Along the way, there is a very great hindrance, the greatest hindrance to man, which is Spiritual Death.  In the book of Numbers (chapter 19), the Levitical priests were warned not to touch or go near a dead body because the stain of death on the priests is very defiling, requiring a long purification process involving the ashes of a red heifer and flowing water. Today, Christ is the fulfillment of this red heifer and living water.  Not only do we need to be saved from sin by Christ’s blood, but He also saves and purifies us from the defilement death with His life.

"You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; For You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood
Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
And have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth.”
    Revelation 5:9-10
