Because He continues forever, He has an unchangeable priesthood. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. (Hebrews 7:24-25)
We are focusing on an important topic this weekend about Christ as the High Priest according to the order of Melchizedek. With this priesthood, which is far greater than the priesthood of Aaron, He has brought us into a new covenant founded on God’s oath rather than fleshly commandments, is able to make us perfect, and provides us a High Priest that never dies and always lives to intercede for us.
