As a Christian, we must pursue and desire to follow Christ. Following traditions and practicing rituals does nothing to help our progress toward being transformed to the image of Christ (Rom 8:29).
Merely understanding the Bible is not enough either. How much of Christ have we gained in our life? How is our personal relationship with the Living God? Do we care to know about Him or to KNOW HIM?

The works of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever. Isaiah 32:17

In today’s climate, people go through a lot of stress and anxiety in their lives. Their relationships with each other are also not good. Only Christ can grant us true peace with God, with each other, and within ourselves.

The prophecies in the Word of God shows us the things that will happen before, during, and after the coming of Christ and what God has planned for His people, and the people of the world. It’s very important for us to know so we can properly prepare and watch for Christ’s return.

When Jesus ascended to heaven after His resurrection, He promised to return. He also told us to watch and prepare for His return. When He comes, He will judge the world in His righteousness, judge His own people, the Christians, and set up His Kingdom on earth. Those Christians who are qualified will receive a reward of reigning with Him in His kingdom. Those who are not will have to endure harsh judgment and punishment. Today He is warning us and giving us a chance to get ready and be qualified for the reward!

People need meaning in their lives, which is why we try many things in the pursuit of happiness. Ultimately, the only satisfaction is for us to receive true life from Jesus Christ and to be reconciled back to God. This is possible because Jesus Christ died for our sins, resurrected to defeat death, and ascended to God’s Throne to be our King. God’s desire is also for us to reign with Christ in His coming Kingdom of righteousness on earth.
